How to Prepare for Recital Season
Posted by Aurora Tights on
Winter is the time for recital season. Whether you are a performer or like to watch here are some tips on how you can prepare for it and have some fun along the way.
1) Have a change of tights/accessories- When you are a performer, you need to be prepared for the worst case scenario. During recital days, you are usually scrambling for time. You should have an extra pair of tights in your bag just in case. Also bring some hair clips, pins and hair ties for your hair. It's always better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
2) Practice practice practice- We've all heard that saying "Practice Makes Perfect". It's nothing but the truth. Make sure you practice your routine. If you have a chance, look at the stage. You can practice alone or with your fellow performers.
3) Have Food- Make sure you pack food too. A little snack is great. Bring some crackers, some water, maybe a fruit or too. Just make sure you have something on your stomach. When you are caught up in practicing and making sure you look good, you might not have time to eat.
4) Watch recital ready stuff- If you are not a performer, dont fret. You can watch recital worthy content. There's so many recital ready shows and movies on different streaming platforms. My recommendation. Dance Dreams: The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, available on Netflix.
5)) Have fun- The main thing about your passion/entertaining is that its supposed to be fun.
You can find so many ways to be a better performer and more creative in a myriad of ways.
